In Lithuania, new homes built since 2021 must meet energy class A++, so almost every new house has an MVHR unit – and its filters need replacing regularly.

The filter pack includes 3 filters of different efficiency classes:

This filter set follows the ISO 16890 standard for particle filtration efficiency. The two G4 filters capture up to 65% of coarse airborne particles that are larger than 10 microns, such as soil particles, large pollen grains, plant debris, insect wings, sawdust, sand and textile lint. One of them cleans the air extracted from your indoor space and protects the MVHR unit by reducing visible dust and general build-up in the ventilation system. This keeps the unit quiet, and extends your system’s lifespan. Meanwhile, the second one acts as a pre-filter on the supply side, capturing larger particles from incoming outdoor air before it reaches the main filter. The F7 filter captures around 55% of very fine particles as small as 1 micron, including bacteria, smog, tobacco smoke particles, combustion dust, spores, and wildfire smoke particles. It helps clean incoming outdoor air before it enters your home, improving indoor air quality and protecting your health.

Brofer recommends replacing the filters every 3–6 months to ensure optimal air quality and system performance. However, replacement frequency may vary depending on factors such as:

If your system includes a filter change indicator, follow its alerts. Otherwise, check the filters visually – if they appear very dirty or clogged, it’s time to replace them.

A handy rule of thumb in Lithuania: always replace the filters in autumn, before the heating season, and in spring, before the birch trees flower in April–May, when the air carries the most pollen.

This filter set is part of our carefully developed house brand, manufactured in the European Union by trusted manufacturing partners who follow our strict quality requirements. Our strong cooperation with production partners, combined with our own quality inspections, ensures reliable performance and consistent quality.

These panel G4 filters are made using Z-line technology, featuring densely folded filter media bonded with glue and mounted in a cardboard frame. The glue fixation keeps it evenly spaced and stable, ensuring more uniform airflow distribution and consistent filtration across the entire surface. Meanwhile, the folded construction increases the effective filtration area, enhancing particle retention and a lower pressure drop.

On the other hand, the compact F7 filter is made using Minipleat technology, a dense pleating method where the filter media is tightly folded and bonded with glue. This glue fixation keeps the pleats evenly spaced and stable, ensuring consistent filtration across the entire surface. Compared to standard pleat types, this design offers a larger effective filtration area, more uniform airflow distribution, improved particle capture, and a lower pressure drop.

Model compatibility Compatible with the following models: Brofer RDCD25 Brofer RDCD25SK Brofer RDCD25SH Brofer RDCD25SKC Brofer RDCD25SKE Brofer RDCD25SKH Brofer RDCD25SKHC Brofer RDCD25SKHCE Brofer RDCD25SKHE In Lithuania, new homes built since 2021 must meet energy class A++, so almost every new house has an MVHR unit – and its filters need replacing regularly.
