The M5 filter captures around 50% of particles up to 10 microns in size, such as pollen, mould spores, pet dander, and house dust. It’s designed to clean the air extracted from your indoor space, helping to reduce visible dust and general build-up in the ventilation system. This lowers energy consumption, keeps the unit quiet, and extends your system’s lifespan. The F7 filter captures around 60% of very fine particles as small as 1 micron, including bacteria, smog, tobacco smoke particles, combustion dust, spores, and wildfire smoke particles. It helps clean incoming outdoor air before it enters your home, improving indoor air quality and protecting your health.

Usage and maintenance

Systemair recommends replacing the filters every 3–6 months to ensure optimal air quality and system performance. However, replacement frequency may vary depending on factors such as:

Air pollution levels (e.g. urban vs rural areas)

Allergies or respiratory sensitivities

Indoor pets or smoking

Dust from nearby construction sites

If your system includes a filter change indicator, follow its alerts. Otherwise, check the filters visually – if they appear very dirty or clogged, it’s time to replace them.

A handy rule of thumb in Lithuania: always replace the filters in autumn, before the heating season, and in spring, before the birch trees flower in April–May, when the air carries the most pollen.

Manufacturing quality

This filter set is manufactured by Systemair, a global pioneer in ventilation technology based in Sweden. With over 40 years of experience and a strong focus on innovation, Systemair is renowned for producing reliable, high-performance indoor climate solutions. Both their ventilation units and original filters are developed and produced under strict European production standards, ensuring full compatibility, optimal performance, and low energy consumption. Each filter undergoes rigorous internal testing for airflow efficiency, dust-holding capacity, and long-term durability.

These compact filters are made using Minipleat technology, a dense pleating method where the filter media is tightly folded and bonded with glue. This glue fixation keeps the pleats evenly spaced and stable, ensuring consistent filtration across the entire surface. Compared to standard pleat types, this design offers a larger effective filtration area, more uniform airflow distribution, improved particle capture, and a lower pressure drop.

By choosing original Systemair filters, you ensure that your MVHR system operates in line with the manufacturer’s stated technical data, maintaining both optimal air quality and energy efficiency.

Original product codes

145849 PF STD kit

207471 (M5)

207472 (F7)

Model compatibility Compatible with the following models: Systemair Save VTR 700 PF Systemair Save VTC 700 PF Systemair Save VTR 700 R Systemair Save VTR 700 L Systemair Save VTC 700 R Systemair Save VTC 700 L In Lithuania, new homes built since 2021 must meet energy class A++, so almost every new house has […]

Original M5+F7 filter set for the Systemair Save VTR/VTC 700 (PF) MVHR unit: M5 extract and F7 supply filters.
