In Lithuania, new homes built since 2021 must meet energy class A++, so almost every new house has an MVHR unit – and its filters need replacing regularly.

The filter set includes 2 filters of different efficiency classes:

This filter set follows the ISO 16890 standard for particle filtration efficiency. The G4 filter captures up to 60% of coarse airborne particles that are larger than 10 microns, such as soil particles, large pollen grains, plant debris, insect wings, sawdust, sand and textile lint. It’s designed to clean the air extracted from your indoor space, helping to reduce visible dust and general build-up in the ventilation system. This lowers energy consumption, keeps the unit quiet, and extends your system’s lifespan. The F7 filter captures around 50% of very fine particles as small as 1 micron, including bacteria, smog, tobacco smoke particles, combustion dust, spores, and wildfire smoke particles. It helps clean incoming outdoor air before it enters your home, improving indoor air quality and protecting your health.

Zehnder recommends replacing the filters every 6 months to ensure optimal air quality and system performance. However, replacement frequency may vary depending on factors such as:

If your system includes a filter change indicator, follow its alerts. Otherwise, check the filters visually – if they appear very dirty or clogged, it’s time to replace them.

A handy rule of thumb in Lithuania: always replace the filters in autumn, before the heating season, and in spring, before the birch trees flower in April–May, when the air carries the most pollen.

This filter set is manufactured by Zehnder, a trusted partner we’ve worked with for many years. We purchase all products directly from them, ensuring authenticity and consistent quality. Zehnder has its manufacturing facilities in the Netherlands, France, and Switzerland, upholding high European production standards.

The filters are made using Z-Pleat technology, which significantly increases the filtration surface area by folding the material into multiple pleats. This pleated design not only improves particle capture but also reduces air resistance in the system, helping your MVHR unit operate more efficiently. By using original Zehnder filters, you ensure that your MVHR system operates in line with the manufacturer’s stated technical data, maintaining both optimal air quality and energy efficiency.

Model compatibility Compatible with the following models: Zehnder ComfoAir 180 Zehnder ComfoD 180 Zehnder WHR 918 In Lithuania, new homes built since 2021 must meet energy class A++, so almost every new house has an MVHR unit – and its filters need replacing regularly.
