Salda RIS Filters

In our catalogue you'll find filters for the two most widely used Salda residential lines:

• RIS series
• Smarty series

Both series are especially popular in Lithuania and in other Baltic and Nordic countries, so we keep these filters in stock at all times. The series name and airflow capacity (e.g. RIS 400, Smarty 4X P) are shown together on the front panel of the unit – that's the easiest way to identify your exact model before choosing a filter set.

On Salda Smarty series units, the model code is usually made up of several parts – for example, "Smarty 2R Ver Plus" indicates the size group (2R), while "Ver Plus" marks a specific version with additional features. This whole code, not just "Smarty", is shown on the front cover or inside on the technical data plate.

Since filter size depends on the specific version, giving the exact model code when ordering lets you get the right size set straight away, without needing to measure the filter itself.

Salda RIS and Smarty units standardly use an M5 class coarse filter together with an F7 (ePM1) class fine filter on the supply air side – these classifications correspond to the ISO 16890 standard, under which the manufacturer marks some newer models directly with a percentage efficiency value (e.g. ePM1 55%) instead of the older M5/F7 notation.

Although the labelling differs depending on the model's year of manufacture, the filter's purpose is the same – M5 captures larger particles, F7/ePM1 captures finer particles and pollen.

No – even within the same series, filter size depends on the unit's airflow capacity, so RIS or Smarty filters are not automatically interchangeable with each other. For example, the filter from a lower-capacity RIS model usually won't fit a larger unit in the same series.

Before ordering, always check the full model code on the unit or, if you're unsure, send us the dimensions of your current filter – that way you'll avoid having to send back the wrong size.

Yes – our equivalent Salda filters match the originals in filtration class (M5, F7/ePM1) and exact dimensions, but are manufactured in the EU and cost less. Since filters need replacing several times a year, and the RIS and Smarty series are especially popular in Lithuania, keeping equivalent filters in stock lets us deliver them faster than waiting for originals to arrive from abroad.

There's practically no difference in quality, as long as the filter is made to the same standards and fits your model exactly.
