What filter set protects against
Filter set includes 3 filters of different efficiency classes:
- 2 × G1 filters (Coarse 40%) – for capturing large particles and protecting the MVHR unit
- 1 × G4 filter (Coarse 75%) – for improved coarse-particle filtration and MVHR protection
This filter set is designed to provide several stages of air filtration. The G1 filters capture approximately 40% of coarse airborne particles, including larger dust particles, plant debris, textile fibres, insects and other visible contaminants. They help reduce dirt accumulation inside the ventilation unit and protect its internal components.
The G4 filter captures approximately 75% of coarse particles, including household dust, larger pollen grains, fibres, sand, sawdust and plant debris. This additional filtration stage helps keep the heat exchanger, fans and ventilation ducts cleaner, supporting efficient airflow and extending the system’s service life.
Usage and maintenance
To ensure optimal air quality and reliable ventilation-system performance, inspect the filters regularly and replace them when they become dirty or clogged. Under typical operating conditions, filters should usually be replaced every 3–6 months. However, replacement frequency may vary depending on factors such as:
- Air pollution levels (e.g. urban vs rural areas)
- Allergies or respiratory sensitivities
- Indoor pets or smoking
- Dust from nearby construction sites
If your system includes a filter change indicator, follow its alerts. Otherwise, check the filters visually – if they appear very dirty or clogged, it is time to replace them.
