What filter set protects against
Filter pack includes 10 filters that can be used as:
- Extract filter – G4 (Coarse 75%) – for MVHR protection
- Supply filter – G4 (Coarse 75%) – for indoor air protection
This filter pack follows the ISO 16890 standard for particle filtration efficiency.
The G4 filters capture up to 75% of coarse airborne particles that are larger than 10 microns, such as soil particles, large pollen grains, plant debris, insect wings, sawdust, sand and textile lint. The filter used on the extract side cleans the air removed from your indoor space and protects the MVHR unit by reducing visible dust and general build-up in the ventilation system. Meanwhile, the filter used on the supply side helps clean incoming outdoor air before it enters your premises, improving indoor air quality and protecting your health.
While the pack contains 10 filters, only 2 are used at a time – one for the extract side and one for the supply side of your MVHR system. You can use the same filter type for both. However, if you prefer a higher filter class for the supply side, we recommend purchasing an additional 10-pack of F7 filters, as they are sold separately. You can find them via this link.
Usage and maintenance
Atrea recommends replacing the filters every 3 months, to ensure optimal air quality and system performance.
However, replacement frequency may vary depending on factors such as:
- Air pollution levels (e.g. urban vs rural areas)
- Allergies or respiratory sensitivities
- Indoor pets or smoking
- Dust from nearby construction sites
If your system includes a filter change indicator, follow its alerts. Otherwise, check the filters visually – if they appear very dirty or clogged, it's time to replace them.

These material filters are made from high-quality synthetic non-woven media, designed to provide reliable particle filtration with minimal airflow resistance. This type of filter is lightweight, flexible, and easy to handle during replacement.
These material filters come in the form of a bag. They are designed to be mounted on the reusable wire frame already integrated into your MVHR unit. When replacing the filter, remove the wire and dispose of the used filter media, then reuse the wire frame with the new filter. This design ensures structural stability inside the unit while minimizing unnecessary waste.
